Okay so today I’m talking to you about how to get your first 10,000 Instagram followers. I’ve been doing this over the last six or seven months I’m now to about 16,000 Instagram followers on my account and I want to teach you how to get them without buying them. It’s been a lot of fun and I think you’re really going to enjoy this one.

 

1st Start Your Goal.

Okay 1st thing when you’re getting started with Instagram you want to start with the goal.

 

  • What is your goal for Instagram?
  • Do you want to attract more B to B clients?
  • Do you want to attract more B to C clients?
  • Are you looking for simply for large branding and to get your name out there more?

 

This is really important so make sure you write down specifically what you’re trying to get out Instagram to start things off.

 

2nd Build A Profile That Converts.

 

Okay so the 2nd thing you want to do is build a profile that converts.I want you to be really deliberate about your picture in your bio make sure your picture is flattering it speaks to the type of persona that you want to perceive.When you’re out there on Instagram and that your bio talks about your credentials and then has a call to action right there that lets people know that they can reach out to you at anytime. And what’s nice about the Instagram business profiles is that there’s going to be a nice button right there that’s going to allow people to click to call you, or click to email you and it really helps to convert business. I’ve seen a lot of success with my own profile in with all of our clients.

 

Create An Editorial Clender.

 

Okay so item number 3 create an editorial calendar.But in order to do this you need to take a look at all the top Instagram profiles online in your niche. So go ahead and do some competitive analysis find 10 profiles in your niche that have large followings.To have a lot of engagement in take a look at it and make sure that you pull out all the best content themes and use that to create your own editorial calendar. Take the time to do this step into really creating an editorial calendar and know how often you’re gonna be posting before you start this.Because it’s going to save you a lot of time it’s going to be important for some of our next steps.

 

Start Publishing And  Engaging With People.

 

Okay so the 4 thing is going to want to do is start publishing and engaging with people.So to get a good base of content there before you start kind of interacting with people. Don’t worry if there’s there’s nobody kind of commenting and liking your stuff at the beginning,it’s okay you want to just basically get a foundation of post there. That when people come to the account they know that this is a solid account and they’re going to want to interact with it.

 

So do that and once you’ve got maybe five or ten post you’re gonna start engaging.And what I mean by that is you’re going to want to follow other people who are commenting in light keen on your competitors in the similar people in your in your same industry is photos and information, because those are going to be the most engage people.So follow them, comment on their things, interact with them and really spend the time to do that and you’re going to see floods of people coming in and starting to follow your account.

 

5th Make Sure To Use The Right Hashtag.

 

Okay another really important thing that you have to do is you want to make sure you’re using the right hashtags. Don’t be shy about this because every hashtag that you select is going to give you more distribution. So when you’re adding a hash telling on Instagram it’s gonna tell you how many posts are associated with that. You’re generally going to want to hit hashtags that have hundreds of thousands to millions of post associated with them, because that’s going to allow you to have greater distribution in those are the areas that people want to interact with. So make sure that you’re using 5-10 hashtags. If you do post, even if you don’t have a lot of followers you’re going to see a lot of people liking it interacting with your stuff, just because you used those hashtags.

 

Now keep in mind, some of them might be bots, right, from things like instant grass and some of these third party Instagram tools. That’s okay eventually you’re going to start attracting a large amount of people who are actually falling you in were liking your stuff, who are real people, in in a couple bots here and there, it’s not something end of the world, at least it it’s a little bit more engagement for you and it helps you with the Instagram search feed, right?

 

So the more comments, the more likes to get the higher you’re going to show up in Instagram search feed for the specific hash tag that you set.

 

6th Advertise Your Top Posts.

 

Okay so the last thing that I have is make sure to advertise your top posts. So if you have a post that’s doing 95% better than your other posts and instagram will tell you this, then go ahead and do a promoted post there, right. And then also use that information and create more content that similar to that same one that did so well. Because people like certain content themes, they don’t like others, I’ve certainly been surprised by what some people like and what they don’t want to do post and I think that you will be too.

Okay so as far as Instagram goes that’s pretty much all you need to do. The more you engage, the more time you spend doing these things, interacting with other people, posting great content, doing advertising on your top posts, using the best hashtags, interacting with influencers in kind of building relationships with the top people in your industry, the faster your account’s going to grow. I think that this is one of the best ways right now for people to attract businesses. For sure if you are a persona online, your person running your own business it’s great for beauty, it’s even been great for B to B clients for me, it really just across the board we’re seeing some level of success on Instagram. Now it’s not going to be driving as many commerce sales as something like a google adwords, or search engine optimization, but there certainly is a lot of value to this component of the marketing mix and I wish you a lot of success.
